    Theodorus Willebrordus Maria (Theo) Mackaay ist ein niederländischer Bildhauer, Maler und Musiker, der am 19. November 1950 in Utrecht geboren wurde. Zwischen 1972 und 1976 studierte er an der Gerrit Rietveld Akademie in Amsterdam und von 1977 bis 1979 besuchte er die Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.

    Im Jahr 1980 begann er seine Karriere als professioneller Maler und Bildhauer. Seine figurative Arbeit ist von Pablo Picasso, Marino Marini und Ossip Zadkine inspiriert. Im Jahr 1980 entwarf er das Goldene Kalb, eine Skulptur, die beim niederländischen Filmfestival ausgezeichnet wurde.

    Mackaay hatte mehrere Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland, darunter Galerie Morren (Amsterdam, 2015), Carlton Hotel (Cannes, 2015), Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam (2016). Mackaay ist auch ein Musiker, der als Gitarrist und Sänger in mehreren Bands tätig war.
